Dividend stocks: Indian dividend stock watchers have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming week as many listed companies go ex-dividend between September 7 and September 11, 2026. This includes many of India’s top companies such as APL Apollo Tubes, GNFC, Apar Industries, Force Motors, Empire Industries and TVS Srichakra.

Many companies have announced large payouts, which may make dividend stocks a focus for investors looking for passive income through their stock holdings. Investors are, however, warned of the importance of knowing and understanding the ex-dividend date and record date prior to investing in a company.

What is the ex-dividend date?

The ex-dividend date is important as generally, investors who have brought the stock prior to the ex-dividend date will qualify to receive the dividend, dependent on settlement rules and record date regulations. Any purchases made on or after the ex-dividend date generally mean the investor will not be able to receive this payment, and the share price would drop as a function of the value of the upcoming dividend when trading goes ex-dividend.

APL Apollo Tubes’ dividend will be on September 8:

The APL Apollo Tubes will feature on the ex-dividend list next week, with the company paying out a dividend of Rs 8.50 per share which amounts to 425 percent of the company’s par value. This could attract many income focused investors and shareholders who have purchased the company’s stock, making APL Apollo a watch out amongst dividends stocks, next week.

Force Motors, GNFC and Empire Industries’ dividend will be on September 9:

For those looking to buy dividend stock the 9th of September will be a momentous day, as many of India’s significant dividend stocks will go ex-dividend. Both Force Motors and GNFC will pay a dividend of Rs 50 per share and Rs 21 per share respectively and have set September 9, as their ex-dividend date. Empire Industries will pay investors combined dividend of Rs 50 on this day – an interim dividend of Rs 25 and a final dividend of Rs 25.

It will also announce the ex-dividend date for Naperol Investments which is offering Rs 16.48 dividend pay-out.

This date proves to be important to many high dividend stock investors, as well as individuals keen on corporate actions.

Apar Industries’ Rs 60 per share dividend will be on September 11:
Coming up in the largest payment size, Apar Industries’ payout to stakeholders will be Rs 60 a share giving owners of its stock 600 percent of its face value. The company also goes ex-dividend on September 11, in a move likely to make it one of the top dividend stocks, next week, investors are advised not to invest based on this sole parameter but rather through evaluating the value, fundamentals, growth potential and available cash in hand for investment.

Companies like Divgi Torqtransfer Systems, Ganesha Ecosphere, Radiant Cash management services along with Apex frozen foods go ex-dividend the day after 9. September.

Before Investing:

A high dividend is no indication that its stock will do well. Investors looking to invest, should always consider the payout ratios, yields, growth prospects and cash on hand along with historically good dividend dividend payment record of the company before proceeding to invest. It is always a point to be noted, that a short investment in a stock just before its dividend ex-dividend payment is no short term earning but rather it will merely bring forward payment and may result in a loss on account of the dividend paid being removed from the stock value and taxes and transactional fees also impacting your final profit. For long term investors in their portfolios, these dividend amounts may serve an extra income on top of current asset values, however, before any purchase of the stock, both dividend returns along with overall stock value is taken into account.

Bottom Line:

Companies such as APL Apollo Tubes, Force Motors, GNFC, Empire Industries, Apar Industries, and TVS Srichakra are the noteworthy names that may draw attention from dividend paying stock investors between September 7th – 11th, 2026. While it will benefit income investors, stock value along with fundamentals should not be ignored, and market watchers must still remain cautious of investment choices that may arise from dividend payments.
