Astra Microwave, Info Edge, Jain Irrigation, Amara Raja Shares React to Q1 Results
Astra Microwave, Info Edge, Jain Irrigation and Amara Raja shares saw sharp moves after Q1 FY27 results. Check key earnings numbers and stock market reactions.

The Astra Microwave, Info Edge, Jain Irrigation and Amara Raja shares registered sharp movements after the companies announced their Q1 FY27 results. Investors are reacting differently to the quarterly earnings, revenue growth and profitability trends. While Astra Microwave, Jain Irrigation and Amara Raja came under pressure, news of Info Edge delivering a stronger earnings performance led the shares higher.

The divergent market response indicates that investors are keenly observing not only revenue growth but also margins, profit trends, segment results, and management commentary while analyzing Q1 result stocks.

Astra Microwave Share Price Falls After Weak Q1 Results

Astra Microwave share price was under huge pressure following Astra Microwave’s June quarter numbers which failed to impress investors. Astra Microwave Products shares were down as much as 9% reaching Rs 1,673.50.

The company posted a 24.15% YoY drop in its Q1 net profit to Rs 12.34 crore as against Rs 16.27 crore in the same quarter last year. Its sales from operations also fell to Rs 176.66 crore from Rs 199.72 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.

A drop in profit and sales seems to have been the reason for the steep negative response to the stock. The two major things for investors watching Astra Microwave Q1 results will be order booking, execution progress and revenue growth recovery in the subsequent quarters.

Info Edge Shares Jump on Strong Q1 Performance

On the contrary, one of the major gainers in this session on the back of the June quarter numbers of the company was the shares of Info Edge. It up mved by about 5.5% to Rs 1,298.

Info Edge showed a healthy growth in consolidated net profit, which was up by around 50.6% at Rs 446 crore as compared to Rs 296 crore in the previous year. Growth in consolidated net sales was at 11.4% at Rs 881 crore. The company’s billings grew by 17.5%.

The company’s recruitment businesses, Naukri and Job Hai continued to grow. This helped build up more investor confidence about Info Edge share price and earnings outlook.

The overall recruitment segment, which is still a significant contributor to revenue and profit, continues to be very relevant for Info Edge. The fact that Info Edge was able to hold onto this high-margin business profile was also encouraging.

Jain Irrigation Shares Decline After Q1 Earnings

Jain Irrigation shares also came under selling pressure, after the company’s Q1 FY27 results indicated the impact of raw material costs and seasonal factors.

The company said the June quarter was impacted by volatility in polymer prices and timing of the monsoon. Certain customer orders in the domestic pipes and drip irrigation businesses were brought forward to later periods.

Jain Irrigation earned Rs 55.90 crore in cash profit during the quarter, registering a y-o-y decline of 29.4% from Rs 79.20 crore. The company’s total income witnessed a dip of 2.4% to Rs 1,508.40 crore from Rs 1,545.60 crore.

Nevertheless, management stayed optimistic regarding the medium-term growth outlook for the company. The company reaffirmed guidance for its EBITDA margin and sounded confident of attaining double-digit revenue growth FY27.

Amara Raja Share Price Slips Despite Revenue Growth

Amara Raja shares also declined after the company’s Q1 performance. The stock declined by approximately 3.84% to a low of Rs 896.35.

Amara Raja Energy & Mobility posted net profit of Rs 190.94 crore for the quarter ended June 30 as against Rs 164.80 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s topline grew sharply to Rs 4,214.54 crore from Rs 3,401.08 crore during the quarter.

The stock reaction was still negative which proved that even if the profits and revenues of the company would have improved, market anticipations and forward looking concerns can at times overpower headline earnings growth.

What Investors Should Watch Next

The wild swings in Astra Microwave, Info Edge, Jain Irrigation and Amara Raja stocks highlight the significance of quarterly results in the short-term stock price movement.

Investors in Astra Microwave will probably keep an eye on revenue recovery and order execution. Info Edge’s shares will continue to be triggered by sustained growth and profitability of the recruitment market. Investors in Jain Irrigation will be interested in polymer prices, monsoon-related demand and margin recovery. And Amara Raja’s stock will be driven by the Revenue momentum as well as the overall energy-storage and battery market.

Overall, the Q1 FY27 results season has delivered mixed results so far across Indian stocks. The latest responses reveal that a good or bad quarterly number does not necessarily dictate the stock performance. Market expectations, margins, business outlook and management guidance are equally important among others for investor response.
